DivDog’s Pet Products

As a dog owner, I try to support small shops as much as possible.  Within Denver, there are so many adorable pet boutiques that make us feel welcomed and at home. However, I find the best trick of shopping small is passionate word of mouth from friends that trust a product or shop.  That is how I found DivDog’s Pet Products.

Based in Fleetwood, Pennsylvania, DivDog is another passionate dog mom that created a whole brand after her late dog, Godiva (Div for short).  As a self taught crafter, Katy started making collars for Div so she would be stylish at any holiday or event.  Div would sport shamrocks for Saint Patty’s day to festive wreathes during the holidays. Over the years, Katy has spread her talents to making custom snuffle mats, flirt poles to anything else that could help the fellow dog mom.

I reached out to Katy about making Archer a collar when he was a puppy and we have been going back to her ever since.  Archer has collars that fit different holidays as well as everyday collars.  Over the years my requests stayed simple until I wanted to collar related to Lego and Star Wars – and she knocked it out of the park. Because of working with a small shop that customizes every single collar, I was able to pick out all the collar aspects of the collar.

When working with Katy, she is responsive and extremely helpful.  She likes thinking outside the box and working through what your vision is.  She appreciates a challenge and a way to grow her knowledge.  I found this out when I wanted to get Archer a snuffle mat so I could hide treats/kibble and make him work for his reward.  When she asked what kind of design I wanted I explained that I wanted the traditional Colorado flag design (anyone living in Colorado will attest that we are massively obsessed with our flag). Well, let me tell you, she delivered a one of a kind masterpiece! I was happy that she was able to have a new creative challenge but I was beyond ecstatic of the product I received.

Over the years I have seen her little shop grow.  She has partnered with rescues to make “adopt me” collars/leashes as well helping dogs that may need some extra space.  She has worked through making educational collars fit and look better by changing their design to add a custom pattern of your choice and allowing the bungee system to still assist in the collar.  Plus, you can customize the collar fabric in the event of any allergies or skin conditions.  I appreciate her continuous effort to make sure your vision comes through and her constant communication through the process.

So go check her out on Instagram, Facebook or Etsy and tell her Archer sent you.
